This Month of March

This march we conducted a Science and Math week, I joined a lot of contest, but unfortunately, I had won only one prize, 2nd in Damath attack. We also have our field trip in Enchanted Kingdom, and we enjoyed so much.

I had celebrated my birthday last March 6, 2008, and that time we are in Enchanted Kingdom, so I can say that, that is my happiest birth day in my life.

Last week, we took about first aid in BST with Mr. Rayoso. I had learned so much especially in types of burns, wound, etc. BST is very important to us especially when we are already an engineer onboard. We can use it in rescuing a victim onboard, but I learned that you cannot give a hundred percent care to the victim, because you must have your care to your self. That’s what I learned in BST this month of March.

the start of finals second semester!

In the first week of the finals in second semester, we took about how to enter the life raft in BST subject. In first, entering the life raft from water is so hard, because water is so heavy to bring when you are going to board the life raft.
We also tried to jump in the 15 feet diving board with the life jacket. I think when you jump the diving board with the life jacket is easier than without the life jacket. That are the thins we done in Basic Safety Training.

the rescue aquipment

Last week, we took up about stretchers and carries in our basic safety training subject, and i'd know what is the basic carry in rescue operation. Also I'd know if what is the commonly used stretchers in maritime , the neil robertson's stretchers. They are used to rescue the victim in a inclose space. In that things we can rescue the victim safely.

study is a must for student

Last week, we had taken up about sine and cosine laws. Actually, sine and cosine laws are one of the easy lessons that I had encounter here in the subject of math. I think math is the one of the hardest subject that I known here, but today I found out that math is not hard when you are studying.
The sine and cosine laws are only dealing about the degrees ant triangles. You must memorize the points in every degree that was given to you, because those are very important, so all students should study for the high grades.

the 8th blog

Last week we taook up about side stroke in our swimming subject, I think I'm not good enough in swimming, because I had found it hard. But I still believe that practice can make you perfect. While in my practice, I've feel that I'm improving.

When we have our practical in swimming, I'd got a high score, but sir Aquilo(our instructor in swimming) said that I have committed a mistake/wrong steps in sidestroke, so I have to practice it perfectly, because sir Aquilo said that I can have higher grades when I get it perfect.

I Believe That:

When I enter this academy, I know nothing except my own. But I strongly believe that I will know more about this academy, and about maritime. I expect everyday that I will learn about it. In my study, I'm predicting that I will get a high grades. And I will learn a lot from my teachers or instructors. Since I enter this academy, I 'm always have a positive think in order to succeed.

the Fourth week!

In my fifth week here in NTMA, Ive learned more about in Basic Safety Training. Sir Bossun Gonzales taught as how to hold a fire extinguisher. And also how to roll and how to connect the hose in the fire hydrants. And we also practice how to hold the hose and fight the fire even though there is no fire. But it is a good exercise on us, as a cadet here in NTMA, because we can use this on board the vessel. Now, I learned how to fight a fire.

And sir Bossun said that he will teach as how to save the life of the man over board, and that is so exciting. Because there are so many case that the crew of a vessel was over board. And they were save, because the crew knows how the save the man over board. That is so very important to the seamen.
